About Me

Ngozi Cole is a storyteller who is passionate about human rights and digital advocacy. As a writer covering gender, human rights and culture, her work has been featured in Culture Trip, Brittle Paper, Afreada, Inter Press Service and Women’s Media Center. She recently completed a media fellowship with the Young Feminist Fund (FRIDA), where she reported on abortion rights in Latin America, sexuality education in Ghana and raising the next generation of feminists in Sierra Leone.

After graduating in 2015 from the College of Wooster in Ohio, Ngozi worked briefly at Ashesi University in Ghana, before returning to serve her country in 2016. With four years of experience in development work in Sierra Leone, Ngozi has worked for INGOs in policy, partnerships and strategic communications .  She is also the founder and editor of Poda- Poda Stories, a Sierra Leonean literary journal.
